Inishvorn team reviewing portfolio strategy in a London office
About Inishvorn

Disciplined investment management, built around a clear process

Inishvorn was founded on a simple premise: investors are better served by a consistent, rules-based approach than by reacting to headlines. This page sets out where we came from, what we're trying to do, and how we work.

Our story

How Inishvorn came to focus on systematic, AI-supported portfolio management.

Inishvorn began as an attempt to answer a question that kept coming up in conversations with UK investors: why does so much investment advice seem to swing between extremes of caution and speculation? We wanted to build something in between — a service that treats capital preservation and calculated growth as equally important goals, rather than trade-offs to be chosen between.

That starting point shaped everything that followed. Instead of building a team around market calls and short-term predictions, we built one around process: how decisions are structured, reviewed, and adjusted over time. AI-assisted analysis became a tool within that process, not a substitute for it — used to surface patterns and flag risk, with human oversight applied at every material decision point.

Today, Inishvorn works with UK-based investors who want a structured, transparent relationship with their portfolio, rather than a reactive one.

Our mission

What we are working towards, and why it guides every decision we make.

Our mission is to make systematic, well-governed portfolio management accessible to investors who are underserved by both ends of the market — too substantial for generic retail tools, not large enough for bespoke private banking relationships. We aim to do this without compromising on the rigour that larger institutions apply to risk management and decision review.

We measure our own progress not by short-term performance claims, but by whether our process remains consistent, explainable, and aligned with the objectives each client sets at the outset.

What we value

The principles that shape how Inishvorn operates day to day.

01

Capital discipline first

Growth is pursued within clearly defined risk boundaries. Preserving capital is treated as a precondition for compounding it, not an afterthought.

02

Transparency over persuasion

We would rather explain how a decision was reached than simply assert that it was correct. Clients should understand the reasoning behind their portfolio, not just the outcome.

03

Process over prediction

No model can reliably forecast markets. Our focus is on building a repeatable process that performs reasonably across a range of conditions, rather than chasing a single forecast.

04

Human oversight, always

Technology supports analysis and monitoring. Decisions with material impact on a client's portfolio are reviewed by people, not executed on autopilot.

05

Plain language

Investment reporting is often written to impress rather than inform. We aim for the opposite — clear statements of what has happened and why.

06

Long-term relationships

We design our service around clients who intend to stay invested through full market cycles, not around short-term asset gathering.

How our team works

Inishvorn is organised around a small set of functions, each with distinct responsibilities.

01

Portfolio strategy

Sets the overall framework for asset allocation, risk tolerance bands, and the objectives each portfolio is built to meet.

02

Quantitative analysis

Maintains and monitors the models used to support allocation decisions, and tests them against a range of market scenarios.

03

Risk oversight

Reviews proposed changes against each client's agreed risk parameters before they are applied, independent of the strategy function.

04

Client reporting

Translates portfolio activity into clear, regular updates, and is the primary point of contact for client questions.

A note on scale. Inishvorn is structured as a focused team rather than a large institution. We consider this a deliberate choice — it keeps decision-making lines short and keeps the people setting strategy close to the clients that strategy serves.
